After several months of development, Debitum Investments has launched its loyalty program, presented as the second block in their value creation strategy. This program aims to reward investor consistency and engagement by offering advantages in terms of returns on their future investments.
This program is based on four loyalty tiers accessible through two distinct methods: by increasing the value of one’s portfolio or by referring new investors. Rewards include an additional return of up to 2%, referral bonuses, and a quarterly cashback on new deposits.
Tiers and Rewards
The loyalty program offered by the crowdlending platform Debitum Investments is structured around four tiers defined by the total amount of outstanding investments. Each tier provides access to rewards whose magnitude varies according to the level achieved.
The 4 tiers are:
- New Investor < 6000€
- Investor : 6000€ à 24 999€
- Investor Pro : 25 000€ à 49 999€
- Investor Elite ≥ 50 000€
The interest boost is the main reward with an additional return of 0.5% per year for the Investor tier, 1% for the Pro tier, and 2% for the Elite tier. This bonus applies only to new investments made AFTER reaching the relevant tier.
Debitum offers a second reward with referral bonuses: 20€ paid to the investor and the referred friend once the latter invests at least 1,000€. Additionally, Elite investors receive 1.5% of the total investments made by the referred friend during the 30 days following their registration.
Finally, Debitum pays a quarterly cashback of 1% on net deposits that investors make during the quarter (capped at 100€ per quarter). This cashback is paid on the first business day following the end of the quarter. Only the “New Investor” tier does not have access to this reward.
Progression Rules
Progression through the loyalty tiers can be achieved in two ways that can be combined to advance faster. The first consists of increasing the total amount of our invested capital. The second is based on referring friends who register on Debitum.
For referred friends to be counted toward our progression, their investments must collectively reach certain thresholds that vary according to the targeted tier.
To access the Investor tier, you need to refer at least 2 friends (no minimum invested amount is required for them). The Investor Pro tier requires 3 friends whose combined investments reach at least 1,000€ over the last 12 months. For the Elite tier, it’s 5 friends who have collectively invested 10,000€ over the same period.
Example: I’m at the Investor tier and I refer Antoine, Maxime, and Julien. Antoine invests 500€, Maxime also invests 500€, and Julien hasn’t invested anything. Overall, I meet the conditions to move to the Investor Pro tier: 3 referred friends who collectively invest 1,000€.
Application Timing
Tier upgrades are applied quickly: they occur the day after the investment has been validated (not the subscription day). For referrals, the upgrade takes place one business day after the referred friends’ KYC validation and reaching the required cumulative amount.
Tier downgrades related to our portfolio benefit from a 10-day grace period. If a repayment brings our outstanding investments below the current tier threshold, we have this period to make a deposit and invest to maintain our status.
The calculation based on referrals is performed continuously over a rolling 12-month period. If the amounts invested by our referred friends over this period no longer meet the criteria defined to maintain our status, a 10-day grace period allows us to invite new friends.
Reward Calculation
Let’s now look at concrete examples of how to calculate the different bonuses we’re entitled to as investors (even for the “New Investor” status).
Interest Boost Calculation
The interest boost applies only to investments made by each investor for a given tier. The applicable boost (+0.5%, +1%, or +2%) is that of the tier where the investor is when subscribing to the chosen financial instrument.
If the investment allows the investor to change tiers, it’s the interest boost of the tier they’re leaving that will apply. Only on subsequent investments will they benefit from the interest boost for the newly acquired status.
If we invest 1,000€ while in the Pro tier and then move up to the Elite tier, the invested 1,000€ will continue to benefit from the 1% boost of the Pro tier while our following investments will benefit from the 2% boost of the Elite tier.
Referral Bonus Calculation
All investors, regardless of their status, can receive a fixed referral bonus of 20€ per referred friend who has invested a minimum of 1,000€. For Elite investors, an additional premium of 1.5% of the total amount invested by the referred friend during the first 30 days is added.
If I refer Émilie, Marc, and Arnaud, who each invest 1,000€, 500€, and 3,000€ respectively, I will receive 20€ + 0€ + 20€ = 40€. If I’m an Elite investor, then Debitum will pay me an additional 1.5% x (1,000€ + 0€ + 3,000€) = 60€, with Marc not qualifying.
Quarterly Cashback Calculation
The quarterly cashback is calculated on net deposits made during the quarter. When we speak of net deposits, this means the total amount of payments made to the platform during the quarter from which we deduct requested withdrawals (even if not yet received).
An investor who deposits 5,000€ and withdraws 2,000€ during a quarter will benefit from a 1% cashback on 3,000€, or 30€. It should also be noted that withdrawals of generated interest are considered in the calculation while generated interest does not count as deposits.
Payment Timing
The interest boost follows each asset’s repayment schedule: it is paid with the interest payment and capital repayment. If an investor changes tiers, their previous investments retain the interest boost of the tier they were in at the time of investment until maturity.
The 20€ referral bonus is paid within one business day after the referred friend has made a qualifying investment. For an investment to qualify, the referred friend must reach a total invested amount of at least 1,000€ within 30 days following their profile validation.
The Elite bonus of 1.5% p.a. is calculated on the referred friend’s cumulative investments made during the first 30 days (Debitum has 10 business days to credit it to the investor). The quarterly cashback, meanwhile, is paid within one business day after the end of the quarter and is calculated on the period’s new net deposits.
Activation & Tracking
All investors registered on Debitum Investments can participate in the loyalty program: you simply need to explicitly consent to the terms. Without this activation, no reward is paid even if the investor meets the conditions for access to a higher tier.
This step is performed directly from our dashboard in just a few clicks. After that, each investor immediately benefits from the loyalty program tier corresponding to their invested capital. However, referred friends referred before joining the program are not counted.
Investors can track their progress on a dedicated page of their Debitum account called “My Loyalty Program Progress“. This page gives them access to their personal referral link and centralizes information related to their progress in the program.
